FAQ

Are your fossils real?
Yes. Every specimen on our site is a genuine piece of Earth’s history. We do not sell plastic replicas or "museum casts" unless explicitly stated for educational purposes.
Where are the fossils from?
We source our specimens directly from the source. By maintaining close relationships with the people who excavate and prepare them, we eliminate unnecessary middlemen. This allows us to keep our prices fair while maintaining a precise understanding of each fossil’s provenance and history.
How do I know these fossils are authentic?
Every fossil comes with its Provenance. We provide the essential "log" for your specimen: its species, the exact geological formation where it was discovered, and its age. You aren't just getting a stone; you are getting a documented piece of Earth’s history.
How do you know these fossils are authentic?
We know the source and we know the science.
- The Source: We only buy from a trusted network of professional diggers and preparers we’ve known for years.
- The Inspection: We check every piece for natural bone structure and mineralization.
- The "Matrix": We ensure the fossil is naturally bonded to its original rock and hasn’t been glued or faked.
How long does it take to ship my order?
We typically ship orders within 1–3 business days and the estimated transit time is 3-7 business days. Exceptions like holidays or field dates, we will place a "Vacation Mode" banner at the top of our website.
How do you ship such fragile items?
We’ve mastered the art of "over-packing." We use multi-layered cushioning boxes, and "box-in-a-box" methods for high-value specimens.
What if my order arrives damaged?
In the unlikely event that a specimen arrives damaged, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt. To process a full refund, we require clear photos of:
- The condition of the original shipping box.
- The internal packing materials.
- The damaged specimen itself.
Once we have reviewed the documentation, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method. Providing these photos helps us hold the carriers accountable and ensures we can continue to offer secure, safe shipping for our collectors.
I'd like to return my order?
We believe you should know exactly what is arriving at your door. That is why we provide high-resolution, honest photography from multiple angles—so you can inspect every detail before making a purchase.
If the fossil you receive does not match the photos or description provided, we will issue a full refund, including the initial shipping costs. To be eligible:
- The item must be returned to us in its original condition.
- Once we receive and inspect the specimen, your refund will be processed immediately.
Our goal is for you to be as excited about the specimen in your hand as you were when you saw it on our site.
How should I clean my fossil?
Most fossils should only be dusted with a soft, dry brush (like a makeup brush). Avoid water or chemical cleaners, as many fossils are porous or held together by water-soluble matrix.
Can you find a specific fossil for me?
If you have a "holy grail" specimen in mind—whether it's a specific trilobite species or a rare vertebrate—let us know. We have a network of diggers and collectors worldwide and love a good hunt.
